4-day Wilderness Excursion

This course teaches how to pack for a wilderness excursion. Learn how to read a topographical map, use a compass, learn to use optics and estimate distances. Also learn basic 1-person first aid techniques, identify animal spores and scat, and learn basic stalking techniques.

Day 1- Gear inventory, packing, travel and BASE-camp setup

Day 2- Reading map, using compass, traversing mountainous terrain, estimating unknown distances

Day 3- Learn basic survival skills, first aid techniques, fire-starting, fishing, identify animal spores and scat, stalking techniques

Day-4- Pack up BASE-camp and debrief

This excursion will require all parties involved to be fit enough to traverse mountainous terrain
